Gailberg crossing

The Gailberg is still rarely crossed on foot - usually on pilgrimages - off the main road from Oberdrauburg to Kötschach. An experience you should make.
Suggestion
Passing the old Blaahaus (old ore smelter), it is worth visiting the Lasa church.
Equipment
Sturdy shoes, rain protection.

Directions

From the railway station head east, cross the track after 500 m and continue straight ahead at the junction. At the next junction, continue straight ahead into a bend to the right and straight ahead again at the next junction. Keep right at the crossroads at 906 m (km 3.8) and after approx. 1 km turn left at the crossroads. After 6.1 km, turn right towards Schindelgraben and Gailberghöhe. From the inn, descend across the meadow to the Gailberg Moor and along the Moorweg to the drain. Later, cross the road again and continue towards Laas and through the Einsiedelwald forest to Kötschach.
